This February, we held the second annual Maccabi VAC Purim Basketball Games, with 4 participating schools: Lauder, Scheiber, Kerek and Radnoti.
The event was opened by Rabbi Tamas Vero, who held a brief speech about Purim, followed by the games, where all the teams had a chance to play against each other.
The games were won by the Radnoti school, but everyone had a fun time.
Many parents and relatives came to cheer the children on, and held a huge round of applause when the children received their medals and participation letters, as well as an informational pamphlet about Israel.
We closed the event with a big community hamentaschen nosh.
