In 2015 when the capital city of Hungary applied for a tender to become the European Capital of Sport for 2019, Maccabi VAC Hungary won the right to organise the European Maccabi Games in Budapest in 2019.
The Budapest metropolitan council approved the capital’s bid for the title in 2015, deputy mayor Alexandra Szalay-Bobrovniczky noted.
The EMG2019 will be a highlighted event in 2019 in Budapest. The representatives of the Games signed that special wall that represents all the partners and supporters of the capital city in this honourable recognition.
